On March 16, 2020, Santa Clara County (Dept. of Public Health) issued a “shelter in place” Order to all residents, effective the following day, to slow the spread of COVID-19. Similar Orders issued in the 6 Bay Area counties on the same date. The Order generally requires that all local residents stay in their homes, and that local businesses curtail all business operations. However, the Order provides clear exceptions for business deemed “essential,” such as Ma Labs, that perform work necessary to the operations of essential IT infrastructure, or that supply products needed for people to work from home or by other essential businesses to operate. At present the Order remains in force through April 7, 2020, though it very well may be extended at that time.
Ma Labs was founded in 1983 as a full-service IT distributor. The Company is a long-time member of the Bay Area (Silicon Valley) business community. We at Ma Labs put the health and safety of our employees, valued customers and manufacturer partners first and foremost. Ma Labs has fully complied with the requirements of the Order.
Ma Labs has arranged for its account representatives and office employees to work from home pending further directives from our federal, state, and local officials. We are leveraging the technology we provide to our customers to ensure minimal disruption in our day-to-day communications and availability. Our business will be conducted as usual with a minimum onsite staff to help with processing and shipping of orders at our respective headquarters and warehouses throughout the US. Best practice and strict hygiene protocols are in place in all phases of our operations, and social distancing has been fully implemented and is required of all employees at all times.
